Katharina Gerlach

Katharina Gerlach

What would you like to know about me? Shall I tell you about the tomboy who turned the forest around her house into a haunted grove or Little Red's riding grounds? Or about the seven-year old who decided to become a forester – and who did? Maybe, you'd be more interested in the school girl who wrote one-page stories for all her friends and relatives. I still see myself as Rainbow Girl, sliding though hollowed out tree trunks to help Mother Nature fight evil polluters. I still sing evening songs with the wood nymphs—except I've got to walk quite a bit longer these days to reach the woods. And I still make up stories for those around me. If you need to know more about me, my three kids, my husband, dog, or house, please look at my homepage.

Stacey Thompson-Geer

Stacey Thompson-Geer

I'm an author and a mom. What more is there to life? I have been writing for many years. I started in horror and dark fantasy, but enjoy writing in all genres.

William L. Hahn

William L. Hahn

Will Hahn has been in love with heroic tales since age four, when his father read him the Lays of Ancient Rome and the Tales of King Arthur. He taught Ancient-Medieval History for years, but the line between this world and others has always been thin; the far reaches of fantasy, like the distant past, still bring him face to face with people like us, who have choices to make.

Henry, Josh & Harrison Herz

Henry, Josh & Harrison Herz

Struck by inspiration one day, Henry began a fun project with his two bright young sons, who share his joy of entering the magical realms of fantasy. Together, they wrote this tale. By day, Henry is a management consultant who also teaches after school enrichment for elementary school children. Josh and Harrison Herz are elementary school students who enjoy fantasy stories. Josh's hobbies include parkour, building with LEGOs, and painting Warhammer miniatures. Harrison plays basketball, and collects Yu-gi-oh cards & KidRobot vinyl figures. Both are big fans of The Lord of the Rings and the San Diego Comic-Con. We are distant relatives of Madeleine L'Engle, whose book A Wrinkle in Time was just ranked #3 on the top 100 children's books of all time. Writing must be in the DNA!

RA Jones

RA Jones was born in 1955 and grew up in a mining village in South Wales with his nose in a book and his head in the clouds. His heroes of literature are those who are fearless in telling an uncompromising story. He wishes that there were more people who wrote like Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, and Karl Edward Wagner, and while he knows that that he can never live up to their genius, he hopes to contribute something to the genre that they so loved. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife and their monstrous black dog.

Shane Porteous

Shane Porteous

Why do I write? It is simply who I am. I strive to tell original stories and make sure I am not bound by the traditions of genre. If I had to label my work than it is best described as Alternative Dark Fantasy.

Agatha Raine

Agatha Raine

My name is Agatha Raine. I was born in Utah and raised in East Texas, and I've never quite been able to shake the accent. I've always had a vivid imagination, ever since I was a child. My mother once asked me why I didn't write my ideas down. At 10, that seemed like a ridiculous amount of work, but by 12 I was scribbling short fan-fiction stories in the back of my notebook between classes. I'll state up front, I support fan-fiction. It's the venue where I first developed my writing and story-telling skills, and to this day, some of my most favored writings are fan-fiction. At 14, I decided I enjoyed writing enough that I wanted to create my own worlds and characters. I began work on a series of unpublished science fiction novels, a ongoing project that lasted me several years. Now, with 13 years of writing under my belt, I've more book ideas than I've got time to write! I published my debut novel, The Veiled Rider, in December 2011.

Sue Santore

Sue Santore

As a young girl, I read the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis, and I have been hooked on fantasy ever since. For years I have had my own fantasy stories spinning around in my head and now that I am retired from many years of teaching, I am putting those stories into book form.

Jeff Shanley

Jeff Shanley

A longtime fan of science fiction, horror and fantasy, I have always dreamed of writing something that would impact people's lives and experiences, both literary and personal. My biggest inspiration for my writing was and is The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, as well as his entire Middle-earth legendarium. I don't just limit myself to fantasy novels, though. I've also written a few screenplays and I'm an avid movie buff (to say the least). MATHION, and the MAVONDURI TRILOGY as a whole has taken the better part of a decade to develop, and I hope that you enjoy the series as much as I enjoy writing it. Check out the Mavonduri Trilogy Official Blog, subscribe to my YouTube channel (TheMavonduriTrilogy) and my Twitter (@Mavonduri) for the latest updates and general rambling from me!

Vanna Smythe

Vanna Smythe

Vanna Smythe is the author of Protector, the first book in the Anniversary of the Veil fantasy series. She has been writing creatively since her early teens, though one could say her creative writing efforts started long before that. While still in kindergarten, she once tore up a library book to make alphabet soup, and has been fascinated with what words can do, the pictures and worlds they can create, ever since. Book two of the Anniversary of the Veil series, Decision Maker, is due out in Autumn, 2012.

Mark Anthony Tierno

Mark lives in his home town of Monrovia California, the recipient of a Masters in Physics and a second degree in Math. A lifelong reader of fantasy and SciFi, he finally set his own imagination to paper with the help of his trusty old Amiga computer.
